Grillled pork belly in savory marinade
Ingredients
  • 2000g liempo
Marinade
  • 1 tbsp / 7.4g ginger
  • 1 tbsp / 9g garlic
  • 1/4 cup / 63g lemongrass
  • 2 tsp / 7.34g MAGGI® Sinigang Soup Mix
  • 1 tbsp / 8g MAGGI® Magic Sarap
  • 2 tbsp / 30ml MAGGI® Liquid Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp / 25g white sugar
  • 1/2 cup / 125ml white lemon soda
  • 1 tsp / 2.33g black pepper
Basting Sauce
  • 3 tbsp / 45ml achuete oil
  • 1/3 cup / 75g margarine
  • 1 tbsp / 8g MAGGI® Magic Sarap
  • 1 tbsp / 15ml MAGGI® Liquid Seasoning

    Prepare marinade by combining all the ingredients for marinade.

    Marinate the pork in the prepared marinade for at least 1 hour, better if overnight

    Prepare the basting sauce.

    Skewer the pork and grill the pork on charcoal or on a flat slightly greased pan. Brush with the basting sauce on both sides and cook for 1 minute on each side or until brown on both sides. Serve with rice and atchara.
