Boursin Spread
French-style cream cheese with roasted garlic and herbs
Ingredients
Garlic Confit:
- Garlic 1 whole / 50 g
- Olive oil 1/2 cup / 120 ml
- Vegetable oil 1/2 cup / 120 ml
Spread:
- Cream cheese 1 pack / 225 g
- NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream 1/2 cup / 125 g
- Spring onions 2 tbsp / 12 g
- Parsley (curly) 2 tbsp / 8 g
- MAGGI® Professional Chicken Powder 1 tsp / 6 g
- Prepared garlic confit 1 whole / 50 g
- White pepper 1/4 tsp / 0.5 g
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp / 15 ml
- Lemon zest (optional) 1 tsp / 6 g
- Garlic oil 2 tbsp / 30 ml
- Salt
- Vegetable sticks, crackers, melba toasts
Preparation

1Prepare the Garlic Confit. In a saucepan, cook peeled garlic cloves gently in the olive oil until soft and light brown in color. Drain oil and save for other uses. Meanwhile, mash the roasted garlic and set aside.

2Heat 2 tbsp of oil from the garlic and add the chopped spring onions and parsley and cook for 30 seconds. Let cool.

3Prepare the Spread. In a bowl, use electric mixer to beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Add the NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream, cooked herbs, MAGGI® Professional Chicken Powder, mashed roasted garlic, white pepper lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic oil, and salt. Mix until well combined. Adjust seasoning if needed. Adjust thickness with the reserved garlic oil.

4Chill to set then serve with baguette slices, vegetable sticks, or crackers.
