Savoury Chinese style rice porridge with egg, siomai and crispy wontons
- cooking oil 2 tbsp (30 ml)
- ginger 1 tbsp (7 g)
- uncooked rice 1 cup (100 g)
- water 18 cups (4500 ml)
- MAGGI® Professional Meaty Chicken Seasoning 1/4 cup (68 g)
- MAGGI® Professional Oyster Sauce as needed
- egg 3 pcs
- spring onions 1/4 cup (25 g)
- siomai 6 pcs
- wonton wrapper 1 cup
-
1Gently heat the cooking oil and saute the ginger pieces until soft but not browned, around 1 minute.
-
2Stir in the uncooked rice and saute until each grain is coated in oil.
-
3Pour over the water and boil then simmer while stirring continuously.
-
4Add the MAGGI® Professional Meaty Chicken Seasoning. Continue to simmer over low heat for 30 minutes to 1 hour or until rice grains are puffed and the soup becomes thick. Stir the soup from time to time to avoid the soup from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
