Fried Chicken Glazed Tofu
Tofu squares glazed with honey garlic sauce and drizzled with garlicky cream sauce
Ingredients
- Firm tofu 2 blocks / 1200 g
- MAGGI® Professional Magic Sarap 2 tsp / 10 g
- MAGGI® Professional Chicken Powder 2 tsp / 8 g
- Garlic powder 2 tsp / 6 g
- Paprika 1 tsp / 3 g
- Onion powder 2 tsp / 6 g
- Black pepper 1/2 tsp / 1.42 g
- Flour 1 cup / 120 g
- Cornstarch 1/4 cup / 30 g
- Margarine 1 tbsp / 14 g
- Garlic 1 tbsp / 15 g
- Water 1/2 cup
- MAGGI® Professional Liquid Seasoning 1/4 cup / 59 ml
- Garlic powder 1 tsp / 3 g
- MAGGI® Professional Chicken Stock 1 tbsp / 15 g
- Brown sugar 1/4 cup / 43 g
- Honey 2 tbsp / 36 ml
- Black pepper 1/2 tsp / 1 g
- Slurry 1 tbsp
- NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream 1/2 cup / 125 ml
- MAGGI® Professional Sinigang 1/4 tsp / 1 g
- Garlic 1 tsp / 5 g
- Garlic powder 1/2 tsp / 1 g
- Mayonnaise 2 tbsp / 27 g
- MAGGI® Professional Magic Sarap 1/2 tsp / 2 g
Preparation

1Cut the tofu into bite-size cubes. Do not pat dry.

2Prepare the Seasoning Mix. Combine the MAGGI® Professional Magic Sarap, MAGGI® Professional Chicken Powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Mix well. Place around 2 tbsp of the Seasoning Mix to season the tofu.

3In another bowl, combine the flour and cornstarch and season with around 2 tbsp of the Seasoning Mix. Mix well. Add around 1/4 cup of the seasoned flour to the tofu and toss lightly.

4Dredge the tofu again with the seasoned flour and rest for a few minutes before deep frying for 5 - 10 minutes or until golden brown. Drain oil before tossing with prepared glaze.

5Honey Garlic Sauce. Melt margarine and saute the garlic. Add in the MAGGI® Professional Liquid Seasoning, water, MAGGI® Chicken Powder, garlic powder, brown sugar, honey, and black pepper. Simmer for 1 minute then thicken with slurry. Use as glaze.

6Garlic Cream Sauce. Combine the NESTLE® All Purpose Cream and MAGGI® Professional Sinigang. Mix until thickened then add the rest of the ingredients. Drizzle over glazed tofu cubes.

7To assemble, toss the deep-fried tofu cubes in the prepared glaze and arrange on platters. Drizzle with prepared Garlic Cream Sauce and garnish with chopped greens. Serve immediately.
If sold as party trays or platters, separate sauces and just toss tofu cubes with sauces before serving.
