Shepherd's Pie

One dish meal with layers of ground meat, vegetables, and potatoes.

MAGGI® Concentrated Liquid Seasoning1 tbsp
MAGGI® Mashed Potato Complete Mix200 g
NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream250 ml
Buitoni® Coulis de Tomate240 ml
Ice1 scoop
Butter1 tbsp
Minced garlic1 tbsp
Diced carrots, blanched1 cup
Corn kernels1 cup
Diced green beans, blanched1 cup
Cooking oil2 tbsp
Ground beef250 g
Ground pork250 g
Large onion, diced50 g
Oregano1/2 tsp
Black pepper1/4 tsp
Water800 ml
Grated cheese2 cups



Buttered Vegetables:

  1. In a saute pan, melt butter and saute the garlic.
  2. Stir in the carrots, corn, and green beans then set aside.

Meat Layer:

  1. In a medium saute pan, heat cooking oil.
  2. Brown the ground pork and beef.
  3. When the meat is no longer pink, stir in the onions and oregano.
  4. Cook until onions are translucent.
  5. Season with MAGGI® Concentrated Liquid Seasoning, MAGGI® Beef Stock, and pepper.
  6. Add the Buitoni® Coulis de Tomate.
  7. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes covered or until the meat is tender.

Mashed Potato Layer:

  1. Boil water in a pot then dissolve the MAGGI® Mashed Potato.
  2. Continue to cook and stir until the mixture is fluffy then set aside.

Cheese Sauce:

  1. Combine in a saucepan the grated cheese and NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream.
  2. Cook over low heat while continually stirring until mixture is smooth.


  1. In a 9x13 baking pan or dish, place prepared vegetables on the first layer.
  2. Arrange the cooked meat on the second layer and the mashed potato on the next.
  3. Top with the cheese sauce.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes in a 350°F oven covered.
  5. Remove cover and brown top. Rest for 10 minutes before serving.
